Although we lost my Uncle Johnnie to cancer this month, his death reunited our family and close friends. It was so nice to see everyone and express our love for one another.

A White Christmas

We headed back east for Christmas. Sydney asked for snow and Santa delivered. We had a great time in North Carolina.

It started off with a trip to Palm Springs.

Then it was time to send Sydney off on her first day of school, which she really loves!

Ella's hair finally grew long enough for pigtails.

We attended our cousin Allison's wedding and danced the night away.

The year is just flying by. Our little Ella keeps growing and doing new things. The other day we caught her standing on the family room table. When did this child learn to climb? She is super cute as you can see. We are just loving every second we spend with her. If the time would only take a little longer to pass.

We don't get too many family shots these days. Here we are on 4th of July. Kelly and I enjoyed the fireworks. Ella slept through the show while Sydney covered her eyes and wanted to go home. On the way home she started crying because see wanted to go see fireworks. Go figure!

I am so proud of Kelly. She is using the camera and her creative side is coming out. There was a time not too long ago when Kelly would center every picture. I was really impressed when I ran across these photos on the camera. I guess it's not that hard to take great pics when you have talent like the Smallwood girls!

Pumpkin Patch Kids

Sydney just adores her BFF Camay. They both had a great time at the pumpkin patch. It was a little too hot for the adults and baby Ella so we didn't last long. Sydney loved everything except for the train ride. The tears and screams had the train pulling into the station for an early arrival. Then daddy threw a strike to win her a stuffed animal and Sydney's smile was back to stay!

Sydney really enjoyed her first ice cream cone. She decided it would be a good idea to wear some home.

Our little Ella really likes to sleep. Too bad she only wants to sleep during the day. More pictures of Ella are coming soon. We just had some professional shots taken of her and can't wait to share them with you all.

Too cute! She does smile, really she does. I just haven't found a way to get her to smile and look at the camera at the same time. We just had a family home evening lesson on smiles tonight. Let's hope she paid attention.

Ashy, Ashy, Ashy, Sydney is always asking for her cousin Ashton. She just adores him. They are so sweet together and always have tons of fun.

So any who knows me will know that I'm always starting projects and never finishing them. However, not this time. I took an hour out of my daily routine to make Sydney this cute pink and white tutu. I got so tired of spending so much money on something that doesn't cost that much at all to make.
My lovely big sis Arlene told me how to make it. I was so excited to hear how easy it really is. Doesn't require a sewing machine. All you do is cut strips of your fabric and tie it around your favorite ribbon until it's nice and full. So simple.

Sydney is really excited about Easter. I always catch her playing with my decorations. Notice the confetti in her hair. She's so silly.

Marquis' Christmas Gift

Kelly wasn't suppose to get me a Christmas gift this year. The day after Christmas she walks down stairs with a Nordstrom gift box. Inside were 3 burp cloths. I was stunned! I ran up stairs and confirmed the test with my own eyes.

The Smallwood Family is growing. I hope this blog has a lot of space. Sydney is going to make a great big sister.

Sydney had to have on her tutu and slippers. She wouldn't stop crying until I put them on her. She walked proudly all day long in her little sassy outfit.

Kelly and Sydney had a great time in Hawaii. While I was left at home to fend for myself, the girls spent their days hanging out at the beach, enjoying the Hawaiian air, and just plan relaxing. Ahhhh...my girls have it good!

Our Pumpkin

We were able to take Sydney to the pumpkin patch in Laguna Hills. She just loved it. They had a petting zoo and Sydney had love for all the little animals. She walked up to the first goat she saw and laid a big kiss on it.

She had her best pal Camay with her. They had fun running around, sitting on pumpkins, and screaming. Sydney taught Camay how much fun Screaming can be. I think these two girls are going to be trouble growning up.

Hello Friends and Family. Thanks for checking in on us. Life is great and we are loving every minute of it. With a little daughter who is so full of love, smiles, and life, how could you not be full of Joy. Kelly spends her days being a wonderful Mother and wife. Sydney and her enjoy going to the pool, taking tons of pictures, reading books, playing games, and going on fun trips like to the mall! Sydney is walking and talking. She can say "Hi dad, ball, Banana or Nana, Dog, Bailey, no no no (she must hear that alot), bear, wawa (which means water), baaba, and Mama." Her hair keeps getting longer and she keeps getting sweetier.
